Programa dedicado al gran Bob Dylan, un recorrido cronológico por su obra en estudio a partir de su conversión al folk eléctrico en 1965. Obviamente la selección es subjetiva, dado su inmenso legado. Dylan es un caso especial, con una carrera que en los últimos años ha arrojado algunos de sus mejores discos. Nada habitual que cantantes editen algunos de sus mejores discos despues de los 50 y 60 años. Dylan acaba de cumplir 68 y su nuevo disco Together Through Life es una joya.

Programa dedicado a revisar un interesante período transicional en la histpria de la música pop. A finales de la década de los 80 y principios de los 90 la guitarra recuperó parte del protagonismo que habia perdido durante buena parte de los 80, década en la que la nueva generación de teclados, cajas ritmicas, samplers y baterias electronicas dominaban la escena.

Wall of sounds, shoegazing, pop guitarrero, etc etc. Oiremos bandas de Inglaterra, Escocia, Irlanda, Estados Unidos y Alemania, algunas de ellas olvidadas por el tiempo y con sonido bastante actual.

Programa dedicado al Dub old-school. Haremos un recorrido por los nombres clásicos del dub de los años 70 y 80, así como algunos más recientes. Periodicamente revisamos este hipnótico género -pata mi la psicodelia del caribe- surgido en Jamaica a comienzos de los 70 como consecuencia de las intervenciones que algunos personajes realizaban de canciones conocidas, a las que agregaban ecos, reverberancias, delays y otros efectos, dejando como elemento conductor al bajo. Sin duda, los maestros y poetas dub son pioneros de los sound systems y de los remixes.

Programa dedicado a Tortoise, con motivo de la aparición de su nuevo disco -el primero luego de 5 años-. Una revisión de la trayectoria de esta influyente agrupación de Chicago, que desde 1994 ha estado expandiendo las fronteras de la música popular con una mezcla de jazz, rock progresivo, dub, electronica, minimalismo, krautrock, bossa y otros generos. El nuevo disco es otro estupendo documento de imaginación y libertad creativa. Tortoise es una de las bandas cuyo sonido inspiró la aparición del término Post-Rock.

Programa dedicado a propuestas en vivo de los años 70, la década en que los tours y grandes presentaciones se establecieron dentro del rock. Escucharemos grabaciones históricas de algunas bandas y artistas cuya faceta en vivo fue muy importante (y lo sigue siendo en algunos casos). En estos tiempos de nuevo las bandas han descubierto que son las presentaciones en vivo la mejor forma de sobrevivir dentro de una industria que ya no tiena el disco como principal fuente de ingreso.

Programa dedicado al período btle que va de mayo 1968 a enero 1969, del cual se cumplieron 40 años y que comprende una de las etapas más productivas en la vida de los Fab Four, los últimos meses en los que aun eran un grupo cohesionado, aunque ya para ese momento muchas piezas fueron concebidas individualmente. Escucharemos material de las sesiones del album blanco, con muchas tomas alternas, acústicas, demos y piezas que no llegaron a aparecer en el disco, algunas de las cuales permanecen aun inéditas y otras resurgieron luego re-arregladas y rebautizadas en los primeros discos en solitario de John, Paul y George. Tambien escucharemos varias piezas grabadas en vivo en la famosa presentación en la azotea del edificio de EMI Records en enero de 1969 y que fueron hechas durante las sesiones de grabaciones de Get Back, que se suponia seria su próximo disco pero que fueron engavetadas. Muchas de esas piezas finalmente aparecieron en Let it Be (1970) transformadas por Phil Spector y unas pocas fueron a parar a Abbey Road.
