Programa dedicado a la obra del inglés Robert Wyatt, uno de los personajes de mayor influencia en la música de nuestro tiempo. Tras fundar The Soft Machine en 1966, piedra angular del Sonido Canterbury, se separó en 1971 por diferencias estilísticas luego de tres discos para formar Matching Mole, grupo con el que editó dos albumes en un mismo año, 1972. Poco después un accidente lo deja paralítico. Sin embargo, su determinación y desbordante talento lo impulsan a desarrollar una carrera en solitario que desde entonces ha arrojado discos únicos. Rock Botton (1974) y Ruth is Stranger Than Richard (1975), producidos por Nick Mason (baterista de Pink Floyd), permanecen como clásicos imprescindibles. Tras ellos sobrevino un silencio que fue roto en 1981. Su voz y su particular forma de tocar la bateria (sin sus miembros inferiores) han sido requeridas por decenas de músicos y grupos, entre ellos Phil Manzanera, Nick Mason, Gary Windo, David Gilmour, Anja Garbarek, Bjork, Ultramarine, Brian Eno, Hugh Hopper, Hatfield and The North y una extensa lista. Su particular estilo siempre se ha movido en un terreno medio que emparenta el jazz y el pop, mientras que desde su posición de artista altruista y sensible, nunca ha ocultado su romántica visión del imaginario izquierdista latinoamericano, entendida en su justa dimensión, sin las conocidas y nefastas desviaciones.
